Ring Traveller:
The traveller is the tinniest and simple mechanical element in the ring frame which carries the most important function like simultaneous twisting, winding, thread guide etc. A ring traveller plays a very important role in the ring-spinning system. It is not only important for yarn production while it is also important for yarn Quality. If the weight of 10 travellers is 10 grains then the number of those travellers is 1 and so on. Yarn Count:
Yarn count is the numerical expression of fineness and coarseness of yarn. In yarn spinning, there is a great relation of yarn count to traveller number.

Importance of Yarn Count and Traveller Number:

The traveller has a great impact on yarn quality parameters. Like: hairiness. Yarn quality varies due to different traveller number. The traveller has imparted a twist to the yarn and enables the winding of the yarn on the cop. It is very important for every textile professional to understand this. This article will help them to optimize yarn production. A specific number of travellers should be used for a particular count of yarn.

The ring and traveller combination is effectively a twisting and winding mechanism. But it is very a minute in appearance, it plays an essential role in the spinning operation. For a given yarn count, the longer the fibres, the fewer the number per unit length of a given yarn count. That’s reflected in the yarn hairiness. Therefore, there moving of short fibres by combing results in combed yarns being much less hairy than carded yarns of the equivalent count. In most cases, the limit to the productivity of the ring spinning machine is referred by the traveller in interdependence with the ring, and yarn.
