Carton Measurement for Exporting Garment:
The accessories which are used for garment packing during garment shipment to the buyer are called packing accessories. There are various types of packing accessories that are used from garment manufacturing to shipment processes. Among them, a carton is very important.

Case, garments are delivered to the buyer in cartons. Garments in poly bags are kept in a carton as per the instruction of the buyer. Loading cartons with garments is called packaging. The packaging is one of the important parts of garment exports. A buyer generally gives written instruction as to the construction of the cartons. So, the carton is the most necessary element for the shipment of goods. Its measurement and carton costing is also an important task for merchandisers.

Packing should be varying (as per buyer garment packing instruction) in different orders as per instruction of buyer garments packing. The number of cartons is high ply number it is very much it is hard and strong. The sea frights depend on the dimension of the export carton and the air frights depend on the dimension of the export carton or the gross weight of the carton. Basically carton measurement uses for different types of containers. Two Types of containers are used for international goods transport. One of 20 Ft containers and 40 Ft containers.

Formula (2) = (l+w+6) x (w+h+4) x 2/10000 (include wastage)

= rate/pc

Example, here, l = 54cm, w = 33cm, h = 18cm,

From (2) = (54+33+6) X (33+18+2) X2/10000
= 0.99 Square Meter.
